Rinse ‘n Gone™ is a washaway polyester thread, 40wt, sold per 200 yard spool. This time saving thread is a favorite for basting and positioning, ease of stitching, and just about any temporary placement.

If you’re looking to achieve a trapunto’d look but with the least amount of thread outlines, then Rinse ‘n Gone thread by Wonderfil will be your answer.  Simply use Rinse ‘n Gone thread in both your needle and bobbin as you sew the area to be stuffed to the layers of batting.  Continue the process as described under May’s BOM.  When you’ve completed free motion stitching around the trapunto, simply rinse the project in room temperature water or brush with a wet toothbrush to make the thread disappear!
